Global
Packaging, Inc. has enhanced our environmental mission statement to encompass sustainability. We engage in responsible material sourcing
and use of resources. We have active
management processes and practices that incorporate environmental, health, and safety
considerations into equipment selection and operation, raw materials acquisition,
and our production processes. We regularly
seek to reduce waste, find ways to reuse and recycle; and use energy more efficiently.
To Global
Packaging, social responsibility includes providing a workplace with equal employment and business opportunities
for applicants, employees, customers and visitors; while complying with applicable
local, state and federal laws, including but not limited to employment, safety and
environmental requirements.
We actively
train our employees in a wide variety of job related, safety, environmental and
social topics. We partner with local
organizations such as Montgomery County Community College, Delaware Valley Industrial
Resource Center and MidAtlantic Employers’
Association to deliver skills training to our workforce. We demonstrate our commit
to the local community by purchasing goods and services locally, supporting local
charitable and civic organizations, and offering employment opportunities to both
entry level and skilled candidates on an ongoing basis.
We will
monitor and report the results of our sustainability programs and practices to our
employees during regularly scheduled meetings and to our outside stakeholders via
postings and other updates to our website.
We observe the guiding
principles of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership.
